Raghu Ram is the Principal Consultant at SAGEVIEW Valuations & CFO Advisory Services. Raghu provides business valuations and strategic alternatives analysis and advice to both mid-market companies and owner managed businesses as well as start-ups seeking to raise capital from investors or private equity firms. Raghu also helps businesses renegotiate terms with lending institutions and which help better manage funds for either investment or working capital. As a fractional CFO, Raghu uses leading indicators to develop business strategy, rolling plans & forecasts, implement collaborative profitability improvement schemes, control costs, manage high growth environment. His prior work also covered capital re-structuring and establishing effective internal controls and SOX certification.

During his tenure with KPMG’s CFO & Risk Advisory Services, he assisted clients in software, technology, logistics, health care businesses in business process improvements, SOX & internal controls implementations, establishing leading practices in quality financial close process and external reporting – SEC forms 10K, 10Q and 8K filings.

As a certified valuator, Raghu performs complex financial model analysis, prepares comprehensive enterprise value – ‘conclusion of value reports’ for various purposes, as well as calculated value, goodwill impairment testing and intangible assets valuation reports.

Also experienced in negotiating diligence driven revisions, representations, warranties, liability holdbacks and indemnification / carve-outs in the final sale or purchase agreements.

Raghu is a Certified Public Accountant (CO, USA), Certified Management Accountant (IMA) and Certified Valuator and Analyst (NACVA). He is also a Cost & Management Accountant.

Jim Schwartz is a Senior Consultant with SAGEVIEW. Jim became an independent advisor in 2009, continuing an extensive track record of helping businesses solve corporate financing, strategic and managerial challenges in order to improve profitability. His specialties are equipment-related leasing and secured lending as well as maximization of working capital through improved corporate credit and collections practices. He also provides litigation support and expertise in these same fields and delivers analysis, due diligence, structuring and negotiation services for acquisitions and dispositions. During his professional career, Jim has enabled businesses to raise hundreds of millions of dollars in long-term financing. Jim has a solid record of achievement with a focus on profitability.

Previously, Jim held general management and corporate customer relationship development assignments in companies such as The CIT Group (a large U.S. third-party financing organization) and Siemens Medical Solutions (an international provider of healthcare equipment and services). While at Siemens, Jim oversaw integration of the short-term customer finance units of two acquired companies.

Jim has structured, negotiated and/or approved hundreds of financing agreements valued at several billion dollars. Working at a small merchant banking firm, Jim helped acquire a failed $150 million business and realize substantial profits by successfully managing and redeploying the assets and staff.

Jim likes to help small & medium size businesses establish new markets for their products & services and effectively manage risks.

Jim resides in southeastern Pennsylvania and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Northwestern University (Kellogg School of Management) and a Bachelor of Science Degree (Agricultural Economics) from Purdue University. Early in his career, Jim became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is an active volunteer, including hands-on and leadership roles for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program sponsored jointly by the Internal Revenue Service and the American Association of Retired Persons.
